Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid reminded that the implementation of Work From Home (WFH) every Friday must not reduce the quality and speed of public services to the public.
He explained that the WFH policy, which began to be implemented on April 1, 2026, is part of the government's work culture transformation to increase efficiency and the use of digital technology.
"This WFH is not an additional holiday. It must not reduce effectiveness, productivity, or disrupt the speed of ministry services," Meutya said during a morning assembly at the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology office .
Meutya emphasized that changes in work patterns must be accompanied by measurable performance.
According to him, this policy is designed to reduce mobility and increase operational efficiency, including limiting official travel and the use of operational vehicles, as well as redirecting the budget to national priority programs.
