Vinicius hints at signing new contract at Madrid

Brazilian star Vinicius Junior has hinted at signing a new contract with Real Madrid and reiterated his desire to stay longer with the club he calls his dream club.

"I still have one year left on my contract, so we're calm. I have the president's (Florentino Perez) confidence, and we're relaxed about what we want," Vinicius told Football Espana on Monday, ahead of the Champions League quarter-final first leg against Bayern Munich.

"I'm happy here and I want to stay for many years," he continued.

Vinicius' performance has been on the rise since the start of 2026, scoring 12 goals in 20 matches, the same as Raphinha.

The 25-year-old has contributed 26 goals, second only to Kylian Mbappe's 43 for Los Blancos since the 2025 Club World Cup.
