Indonesian League club Persib wing-back Frans Putros has been included in Iraq's provisional squad for a training camp in Spain ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
The Iraqi National Team's X account on Wednesday stated that Putros was one of the players called up by coach Graham Arnold.
This opens up the opportunity for Putros to become the first active Indonesian League player to appear in the World Cup finals.
Arnold called up 34 players to attend a training camp in Spain starting May 22, 2026.
He called four goalkeepers to join this training camp, namely Kamil Saadi, Fahad Talib, Ahmed Basil and Jalal Hasan.

Apart from Putros, the defenders brought in were Maytham Jabbar, Zaid Tahseen, Akam Hashim, Manaf Younis, Rebin Solaka, Mustafa Sa'adoun, Ahmed Yahya, Ahmed Maknzi, Merchas Doski and Hussein Ali.
The midfield consists of Zaid Ismail, Peter Korkis, Youssed Al-Amine, Zidane Iqbal, Kevon Yagoub, Amir Al-Ammari, Marco Farag, Ibrahim Bayesh, Ahmed Qassem, Youssed Al-Nasrawi, Dario Namo, Hasan Abdel Karim and Ayman Sher.
The front line is occupied by Mohannad Ali, Ali Youssef, Aymen Hussein, Ali Al-Ahmadi, Ali Jassim and Karrar Nabeel.
Iraq is in Group I with Norway, France and Senegal.
