Southampton has been disqualified from the Championship promotion playoff final after admitting to several rule violations.
The EFL website said on Wednesday that Southampton had been found guilty of breaching regulations by filming another club's training without permission.
Southampton were also given a four-point deduction which will come into effect next season.
As a result Middlesbrough were returned to the 2026 play-offs and advanced to the final against Hull City.
The final remains scheduled at Wembley Stadium, London, with a kick-off time to be determined later.
Southampton were first charged with further charges issued on Sunday, May 17 relating to additional breaches during the 2025/2026 season.
The additional charges arose from issues identified after the initial proceedings involving Middlesbrough began.
