Indonesian men's doubles coach Antonius Budi Ariantho is targeting his players to win the 2026 Indonesia Open.
"We have to be champions," Antonius Budi Ariantho told reporters in Jakarta on Wednesday.
The 2026 Indonesia Open is scheduled to take place at Istora Senayan.
Indonesia is certain to field doubles pairs such as Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri, Raymond Indra/Nikolaus Joaquin, and Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin in this BWF Super 1000 tournament.
To face the 2026 Indonesia Open, Antonius Budi Ariantho said that he will field Raymond Indra/Nikolaus Joaquin and Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri at the 2026 Singapore Open which will take place next week.
The two doubles were fielded as part of the coaching team's strategy to help them regain their performance after a long break.
Meanwhile, Leo/Daniel were given a break after recently appearing in two BWF tournaments, namely the 2026 Thailand Open and the 2026 Malaysia Masters.
"Yes, for the Singapore Open, we're sending two pairs. Joaquin/Raymond and Fajar/Fikri. After returning from the Thomas Cup, we have two weeks to prepare, so we'll do maintenance...hopefully, we'll peak at the Indonesia Open," said Anton, as he's familiarly known.
