The appeal trial of the 18 Senegalese supporters, convicted at first instance for hooliganism during the CAN Morocco 2025 final, has been postponed until March 30.
This deadline aims to allow the defense to better prepare its pleadings and examine in depth the elements of the case. On February 19, 2026, the Rabat court of first instance sentenced them to sentences ranging from three months to one year in prison, for disturbances to public order occurring in a sports venue.
Arrested at the end of the final played on January 18, they were notably prosecuted for violence, throwing projectiles and invading the field. The defense contests these accusations, affirming the absence of criminal intent and pleading for a reclassification of the facts.
