Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, who specializes in the transfer market, revealed that a prestigious European team is making a move to sign the young Moroccan star Ayoub Bouadi, a player for the French club Lille.
According to Romano, Liverpool's management has already begun studying the deal, stressing that the prestigious English club has made direct contact with Bouadi's representatives, in a move that reflects a real interest in signing the Moroccan star who is currently shining in the 2026 World Cup.
This news comes after Bouadi stole the show during the Moroccan national team’s match against Brazil early Sunday morning, in the first round of Group C matches in the 2026 World Cup, which ended in a positive draw (1-1) at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
Moroccan coach Mohamed Wahbi gave his confidence to Bouadi in the starting lineup against Brazil, and he did not let his coach down.
The 18-year-old player imposed his control on the midfield with a composed play that far exceeds his age, as he touched the ball 87 times, and succeeded in distributing 60 correct passes out of 66, with an accuracy rate of 91 percent.
Most notably, he completed 16 perfect passes in the attacking third with a perfect success rate (100 percent), making him the essential link between defense and attack.
These numbers were not just statistics on paper, but were translated by Bouadi with remarkable tactical intelligence, as he succeeded in disrupting the key players of the "Samba" team, and provided intelligent counter-covering that gave his teammates the freedom to advance, which directly contributed to creating the historic goal for Morocco against Brazil, scored by Ismail Saibari in the 21st minute.
