Arema FC management has made the services of senior defender Hansamu Yama Pranata permanent, who was previously brought in on loan from Persija Jakarta for the second half of the 2025/2026 Super League season.
Arema FC General Manager Yusrinal Fitriandi in Malang City, East Java, Wednesday, said that since being brought to Malang, Hansamu has been able to show his best performance and is considered to be in line with management's expectations.
"His experience, leadership, and defensive abilities add value to the team, which is why we decided to continue our collaboration and make his status permanent," said Inal, Yusrinal's nickname.
The 31-year-old player is said to have composure when blocking the opponent's attacks, Hansamu's advantages have an impact on the balance of Arema FC's game.
In addition to Hansamu Yama Pranata, the club management decided to bring back 23-year-old winger Hamzah Titofani Rivaldi from his loan spell at Deltras Sidoarjo last season.
Inal said that Hamzah Titofani's loan to Deltras was intended to give the footballer regular playing time and experience in competitive competitions.
While playing at Deltras, Arema FC management assessed that the footballer who plays as a right winger was able to show significant development in terms of experience and playing ability.
"Hopefully, when he returns to Arema FC, he can make a bigger contribution," he said.
Arema FC management has confirmed that three foreign players have had their contracts extended, namely Julian Guevara, Betinho, and Matheus Blade.
Throughout last season, all three were able to perform consistently. Furthermore, these players possess the ability to play in multiple positions, enriching Arema FC's strategic options.
The decision to retain the midfielders was also due to management's belief that Julian Guevara, Betinho, and Matheus Blade have become part of the club's foundation for competing in the Super League next season.
