The Central Sulawesi Regional Police have intensified patrols and monitoring in a number of areas affected by the 6.7 magnitude earthquake to ensure that the public security and order situation remains safe and conducive.
Head of Public Relations Sub-Division of the Central Sulawesi Regional Police, Commissioner Reky Moniung, in Palu, Tuesday, said that patrols were carried out by personnel from the Samapta Directorate in a number of areas affected by the earthquake, namely Sigi Regency, Parigi Moutong Regency, and Palu City.
In this activity, personnel from the Samapta Directorate targeted a number of points that experienced increased community activity after the earthquake.
At the gas stations on Jalan Moh. Yamin and Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai, personnel from the Samapta Directorate are directing traffic to ease congestion caused by the buildup of vehicles filling up with fuel.
In addition, officers also checked a number of buildings affected by the earthquake, one of which was the Paskop Cafe located on Jalan Tanjung Manimbaya, Palu City.
