Despite winning the Czech MotoGP Sprint Race, Ducati Lenovo racer Francesco "Pecco" Bagnaia admitted he was still not comfortable with his bike.
Pecco was the fastest in the Czech MotoGP Sprint Race session which took place at the Brno Circuit, Saturday evening WIB, after beating Ai Ogura and Marc Marquez.
"I still feel like I haven't found the perfect confidence with the bike, but I like the track and we'll continue working hard for the upcoming race, especially on tire management to be as effective as possible," Pecco said, as quoted on the Ducati Lenovo website on Sunday.
This Sprint Race victory was the first victory achieved by the two-time world champion this season.
Pecco has been struggling to adapt to the Desmosedici GP26 this season, leading to inconsistent performance.
According to Pecco, his victory in Brno this time was achieved thanks to excellent tire selection and management, which made him much more comfortable competing at the front of the race.
"The strategy worked well, and this is a great confidence booster for the upcoming race," said the Italian racer.
Pecco is scheduled to take part in the main Czech MotoGP race which will take place.
