Former Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has expressed his opinion on Real Madrid's signings, in which they managed to outmaneuver their traditional rivals by acquiring Bernardo Silva and Marc Cucurella from Manchester City and Chelsea.

Pique, in statements published by the Spanish newspaper AS, said about Alvaro Arbeloa and his opinion on his career with Real Madrid, where he mocked his plans and results: "I wished he would stay so that the Champions League trophies would remain stable in the display cases. During the season, I wished him all the best except for winning titles."

Regarding Mourinho's appointment as Real Madrid coach: "He is the perfect coach to stir up controversy and ensure that people talk about everything except football."

Regarding the transfer of former Barcelona player Cucurella to Real Madrid: "I did not criticize the player, but I wish him a great career. He is a good player even though he has joined Real Madrid."

Pique concluded by criticizing Real Madrid's transfer market strategy and their desire to sign any player Barcelona wants: "Real Madrid interferes in every transfer deal."

Real Madrid are preparing for the start of next season's competitions under the leadership of Jose Mourinho, and the Portuguese is focusing on raising the level of competitiveness within the team, in addition to building a strict winning mentality.

Jose Mourinho aims to have Real Madrid ready to compete for domestic and continental titles after the players return to pre-season training.
