Former Indonesian Navy Chief of Staff Admiral Achmad Sutjipto passes away

 




  Former Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy  Admiral TNI  Achmad Sutjipto reportedly died this Thursday at Medistra Hospital.

The news was conveyed by Dave Laksono, Deputy Chairman of Commission I of the Indonesian House of Representatives , a legislator overseeing military and defense affairs. He also expressed his condolences on Sutjipto's passing at the age of 81.

"May the deceased find the best place in the sight of God Almighty, and may the family be given strength, fortitude, and sincerity in facing this time of grief," Dave said.

Sutjipto, he said, was one of the nation's finest sons who had dedicated most of his life to serving the country through the Indonesian Navy, and the various strategic roles he held after retirement.

He said that during his service, the deceased was known as a soldier who upheld professionalism, integrity, and commitment to the interests of the nation and state.

"His contributions have been crucial in the development of national defense, particularly within the Indonesian Navy," said the head of the House of Representatives' defense commission.

According to him, Sutjipto's departure is certainly a loss for the extended TNI family, the Indonesian maritime world, and the nation as a whole.

"However, the values ​​of devotion, leadership, and exemplary behavior left by the deceased will remain an inspiration for future generations in safeguarding national sovereignty and interests," he said.

The deceased was laid to rest at his residence on Jalan Gading 10, Block D, No. 45, Kodamar, Kelapa Gading. Sutjipto's body will be buried at the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery (TMP).
