The Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board stated that the 2026 Nahdlatul Ulama National Conference and Grand Conference were held to discuss preparations for the congress.
Chairman of the Steering Committee (SC) for the 2026 NU National Conference and National Conference, KH Ahmad Said Asrori, revealed that the National Conference and National Conference activities were the final forums in the current PBNU leadership period before entering preparations for the conference.
"The National Conference and National Conference will discuss worldly issues, including religious, religious, and religious matters . They will also discuss organizations, recommendation commissions, programs, and other matters related to national, state, and religious life in Indonesia," he said in Kediri, East Java.
He explained that the forum discussed various strategic issues, ranging from religious issues, organizations, to national issues.
He hopes that the event held at the Al Falah Islamic Boarding School, Ploso Village, Mojo District, Kediri Regency will run smoothly and produce decisions that are beneficial for NU members and the wider community.
"We hope that this National Conference will run smoothly, joyfully, and happily, and of course, we hope that it will produce decisions that are beneficial, especially for NU members, Islamic boarding school members, and all Indonesian citizens," he said.
The Secretary of the SC for the 2026 NU National Conference and National Conference, KH Amin Said Husni, explained the position of the National Conference and National Conference in the NU deliberative system.
He said the two forums were different deliberations, but were almost always held in parallel.
The National Conference and National Conference are one level below the Congress as the highest forum within the NU environment.
He added that the National Conference was attended by representatives of the NU Regional Executive Board (PWNU) throughout Indonesia, while the National Conference was attended by representatives of the PWNU Tanfidziyah from 38 provinces.
