Metro Police personnel arrested two teenagers who were caught carrying synthetic tobacco narcotics during a street crime operation in the Tambora area.
Head of the Metro Police's Binkar Sub-Division, Commissioner Anggoro Winardi, in his statement on Saturday, said that the two teenagers were caught in a stationary raid carried out by officers on Jalan Tubagus Angke, precisely in front of the Wijaya Kusuma Pump House, Tambora.
"From the results of the investigation, officers found two people in possession of synthetic tobacco. Both were then detained for further questioning and investigation," said Anggoro.
He said the operation involved medium-scale patrols on a number of main roads as well as stationary raids to anticipate street crimes, including violent theft , aggravated theft , motor vehicle theft , and drug abuse.
