The government continues to develop training facilities for Indonesian Paralympic athletes through the continued construction of the Indonesia Paralympic Training Center (IPTC) in Karanganyar, Central Java, to support the optimal development of athletes with disabilities.
"The next plan to be implemented is the construction of the Education Building and Sports Arena (GOR) Phase II, which is considered more urgent to support the athlete development process," said Public Works Minister Dody Hanggodo in a written statement.
The decision was taken based on the actual needs conveyed by the Indonesian National Paralympic Committee (NPC).
In addition to building an educational building with a capacity of around 400 people, the government is also prioritizing the construction of a training center for team sports, the construction of a skybridge connecting the buildings, and strengthening the electrical system by providing hybrid generators.
"This will help our friends move more easily . Regarding the hybrid generator, it should have been ready yesterday, but due to an increase in the power quota, it was delayed. Now it's a priority," said Dody.
