Ukraine ready for MiG-29 fighter
The minister said on Monday: "I thought the negotiations would reach a dead end, but last week, and perhaps our clear and firm position, presented an opportunity for further discussion."
He added: "We received a request from the Ukrainian side, and they are still interested in that."
He confirmed that Warsaw had submitted its proposals for the next two years, which makes the exchange possible, explaining that the discussion is about the exchange itself, and not about providing Polish fighter jets to Ukraine.
It is worth noting that Poland announced in late June that it would not provide its old MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine, because Kyiv refused to provide Warsaw with drone manufacturing and countermeasures technologies.
