Saudi international Ali Al-Bulaihi received shocking news from Italian Simone Inzaghi, the technical director of Al-Hilal football club, just before the start of the preparation period for the new season of the "Roshan" Professional League.
Ali Al-Bulaihi, 36, returned to group training last weekend after passing physical and muscular tests following his recovery from the flu, which had kept him from joining his teammates at the start of the preparation period after the end of the seasonal holiday.
Simone Inzaghi decided to exclude defender Ali Al-Bulaihi from the squad that will travel to Austria for the overseas training camp, which begins tomorrow, Wednesday, and continues until August 3.
This move reflects Inzaghi's decision to exclude Al-Bulaihi from the technical plans for the new season, despite his contract continuing until next summer.
Al-Hilal is scheduled to play four friendly matches during its training camp in Austria, starting with a match against Sturm Graz on July 19, followed by a match against South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns four days later, before facing Mouloudia Club of Algeria on July 29, and concluding its friendly matches against Al-Ahli of Qatar on the last day of the camp.
It is worth noting that Ali Al-Bulaihi participated in 263 matches with Al-Hilal, over eight and a half seasons, during which he scored 23 goals and provided three assists, before moving to Al-Shabab on loan last January.
During his time with Al-Hilal, the Saudi defender won 5 Saudi League titles, 3 King’s Cup titles, 3 Saudi Super Cup titles, in addition to 2 AFC Champions League titles.
Al-Bulaihi received an offer from Al-Ittihad Club to join its ranks during the current summer transfer window, and this may be a way out of his crisis with Al-Hilal and its coach.
