Around 50 civilians were injured and more than 379 Ukrainian drones were shot down over Russian territory last night

Around 50 civilians were injured in the Moscow and Tambov regions of Russia as a result of Ukrainian attacks on civilian facilities, while the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that it had shot down 379 Ukrainian drones during the past night.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin wrote on the Max platform: "Since 8:30 pm Moscow time, more than 370 drones have flown towards Moscow. Most of them were neutralized by air defense forces from distances far from Moscow, and 64 hostile drones were destroyed as they approached Moscow."

The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed that "during the past night, air defense systems destroyed 379 Ukrainian drones."

She added: "The marches were suppressed in the regions of Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Smolensk, Ryazan, Kaluga, Tula, Tambov, Oryol, Lipetsk, Tver, Pskov, Voronezh, Rostov, Volgograd, Leningrad, Vladimir, Moscow, Krasnodar, Crimea, the Sea of ​​Azov, and the Black Sea."

Moscow region governor Andrei Vorobyov announced that 24 people were injured when drone debris fell on a Wildberrys warehouse in the city of Elektrostal.

He also noted that two other people were injured in the city of Noginsk in an attack by a Ukrainian drone.

He added that debris from a drone caused a fire at an oil depot in the city, and firefighting teams are still on site.

He continued: "A maternity hospital near the scene of the accident was evacuated, and all patients and staff were transferred to other medical facilities. Women who needed specialized care were also transferred to hospitals in Noginsk, Balashikha, and Shchelkovo, and residents of a nearby apartment building were evacuated."

For his part, the governor of Russia’s Tambov region, Yevgeny Pervyshov, confirmed that 25 people were injured in a Ukrainian attack, and that 23 of them were taken to hospitals in the region. He added that “one person is in critical condition, six are in serious condition, and 16 are in moderate condition. Most of the injuries are caused by shrapnel, and the injured are receiving the necessary medical care.”

Kyiv forces continue to target areas in southwestern Russia with drones and missiles on a daily basis.

President Vladimir Putin stressed the need to expand the scope of the military operation to push Kyiv's forces away from Russian territory, including areas within range of Western missiles and weapons targeting Russia.
