Commission I of the Indonesian House of Representatives has begun conducting fit and proper tests on a number of prospective members of the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission for the 2026–2029 period.
Chairman of Commission I of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Utut Adianto, said that there were seven prospective KPI members who took part in the fit and proper test at the Indonesian House of Representatives.
Previously, 26 prospective KPI members were declared to have passed after undergoing the selection process conducted by the selection committee.
"We received a letter from the Minister of Communication and Digital, in essence, giving us 27 names, and of these 27, one person resigned on July 1," Utut said at the parliamentary complex in Jakarta.
The seven prospective KPI members who took part in the fit and proper test today were Amin Sabana, Evri Rizqi Monarshi, Analisa, Sapardiyono, Ahmad Fariqul Badi, Widhi Kurniawan, and Suciati Eka Candra Sari.
They are candidates who come from diverse backgrounds, ranging from academics with master's degrees to doctoral degrees in various disciplines, experienced practitioners, senior journalists, to incumbent KPI members.
