Racer Dani Holgado is looking forward to making his MotoGP debut next season.
Holgado will officially be tied to a contract with Gresini Racing for the 2027 MotoGP season.
"I'm very happy to join the MotoGP project of the Gresini Racing MotoGP Team. It's truly a lifelong dream of mine to race in the premier class, and doing it with a team like this makes it even better. This is the result of a lot of effort and hard work over many years," Holgado said, as quoted on the official Gresini Racing website on Friday.
Holgado will later partner Joan Mir, who is also confirmed as the latest recruit from Gresini Racing to fill the main rider position next season.
Holgado is currently still with the CFMOTO Azul Marino Aspar team which competes in the Moto2 class.
The Spanish racer has had a promising Moto2 season, currently sitting sixth in the provisional standings.
"I know it will be a big challenge, but I'm ready to grow both as a rider and as a person," said the 21-year-old racer.
In addition to announcing the signing of two new riders, Gresini Racing also announced a contract extension with Ducati Corse as their motorcycle supplier for next season.
