The Indonesian U-18 women's national volleyball team closed out the 2026 AVC Girls' U18 Volleyball Championship with a 3-1 (22-25, 25-20, 25-12, 25-17) victory over Mongolia to secure seventh place in Nakhon Ratchasima.
Indonesian U-18 Women's National Volleyball Team Manager Luciana Taroreh said the victory was an important response from the players after previously failing to maintain their chances of competing for fifth place.
"We are grateful for today's victory. After a less-than-expected result in the previous match, the players demonstrated character, fighting spirit, and mental fortitude to bounce back against Mongolia," said Luciana Taroreh, manager of the Indonesian U-18 women's volleyball team, in a statement received.
Indonesia started the match under pressure after Mongolia won the first set 25-22. However, Arimbi and her teammates managed to improve their rhythm in the second set and level the score with a 25-20 victory.
This momentum allowed Indonesia to play more freely. The Red and White squad displayed a more solid attack and defense in the third set, limiting Mongolia to just 12 points.
Indonesia's dominance continued in the fourth set. A more disciplined defense and effective offense made it difficult for Mongolia to develop their game, before Indonesia closed out the match with a 25-17 victory.
