PB Djarum discovers potential left-handed talent in Pekanbaru

The PB Djarum Talent Search Team discovered a number of potential left-handed badminton players in the 2026 PB Djarum General Auditions in Pekanbaru, Riau, which resulted in 15 Super Ticket recipients.

Sigit Budiarto, Head of the 2026 PB Djarum General Audition Talent Search Team, said that most of the selected athletes are from Sumatra Island and have the potential to be further developed.

"We've managed to find some great potential, most of them from Sumatra, including several left-handed athletes, which is certainly very exciting for us," Sigit said in a written statement in Jakarta on Sunday.

The 15 athletes who received Super Tickets consisted of six tournament winners and nine Talent Scout Team selections.

They then underwent a four-week quarantine in Kudus, Central Java, from September 14 to October 9, along with selected participants from the Makassar and Kudus auditions.
