Aprilia Racing rider Marco Bezzecchi is targeting a return to action at the British MotoGP at the Silverstone Circuit, August 7-9, after undergoing successful collarbone surgery.
As reported on the official MotoGP website, Sunday, Aprilia Racing confirmed the operation was carried out at the University Hospital of Sassuolo, Italy, Sunday, to treat the broken collarbone that Bezzecchi suffered in an accident during the second qualifying session (Q2) of the German MotoGP.
The rider with number 72 returned to Italy on Saturday and was forced to miss the sprint and main race at the Sachsenring Circuit due to the injury.
The team stated that Bezzecchi's condition is now improving and hopes that the Italian rider can return to riding the RS-GP at the next round at Silverstone.
