PBVSI targets the Indonesian national team to defend its SEA V Cup title

The Central Board of the All-Indonesia Volleyball Association  is targeting the Indonesian men's national volleyball team to defend its SEA V Cup title.

The Red and White team, the defending champions, are looking ahead to the 2026 SEA V Cup with high confidence after winning the 2026 AVC Men's Volleyball Cup.

"Today, we are sending off the Indonesian senior men's volleyball team to the 2026 SEA V Cup. We are aiming to defend our SEA V Cup title from last year. All players should feel proud to wear the Indonesian national team jersey, as you are all national heroes through your achievements in sports," said Deputy Chairman II Djoko Sardono in an official statement.

Facing this inter-Southeast Asian tournament, Indonesia is certain to get additional ammunition with the presence of experienced players such as Dio Zulfikri, Sigit Ardian, and Fahreza Rakha Abhinaya.

According to Indonesian national team coach Reidel Toiran, the presence of these additional players will certainly add strength and depth to the team, which combines junior and senior players.

"The arrival of senior players adds to our strength as we prepare for the SEA V Cup and the 2026 Asian Games. This will give us added strength to compete and achieve the PBVSI targets," said the coach, who was born on October 31, 1984.
