Selsi/Halifia take the lesson of being eliminated from the June Asian Championships

Indonesian women's doubles pair Selsi Josika/Halifia Usni Pratiwi learned an important lesson after being stopped in the quarterfinals of the 2026 Asian Junior Championships in Yatsushiro, Japan, on Friday, after losing 17-21, 21-19, 10-21 to South Korean pair Han Bi Kim/Seo Young Yeo.

"It certainly didn't meet our target, as our target was a podium finish. This isn't a bad result, even though we lost. We fought hard," Selsi said in an official statement from the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI).

The Indonesian pair lost the first game after being under pressure from the start. However, they rallied in the second game to force a third.

Halifia said the opponent was ready to implement an attacking game from the start.
