The Indonesian U-19 women's national cricket team has qualified for the 2026 ACC Women's Asia Cup U-19 for the first time.
"Today is a very proud day for Indonesian Cricket. After the senior women's national team made history by qualifying for the Asia Cup for the first time, now the U-19 women's national team has succeeded in following in the same footsteps," said the Chairman of the Indonesian Cricket Association (PCI), Abhiram Singh Yadav, in an official statement received in Jakarta on Thursday.
Indonesia secured qualification for the Asian championship after reaching the semifinals of the 2026 ACC Women's U-19 Premier Cup in Malaysia.
In the quarter-finals, the Srikandi team appeared convincing by defeating Bhutan with a seven- wicket victory .
"In one year, two generations of the Indonesian women's national team have made it to the highest level of Asian Cricket. It's something we've dreamed of for years," said Abhiram.
