The match between Serbian Red Star and Israeli Hapoel Be'er Sheva in the third qualifying round of the Champions League, held yesterday, Tuesday, witnessed a controversial scene after the end of the match.
Footage circulating online shows one of the Israeli team's representatives heading towards the tunnel leading to the dressing rooms, before raising the Israeli flag, at which point a group of Red Star fans threw plastic water bottles at her.
The match was held at the "Rajko Mitić" stadium in the Serbian capital, Belgrade, as part of the second leg of the third preliminary round of the Champions League.
Hapoel Be'er Sheva achieved a 2-0 victory, overturning their 0-1 first-leg deficit and qualifying for the next round with a 2-1 aggregate score.
According to the footage circulating, the incident occurred in the vicinity of the tunnel after the final whistle, amidst a tense atmosphere between the Serbian team's fans and the Israeli club's delegation.
