The telecommunications infrastructure built by the Telecommunications and Information Accessibility Agency of the Ministry of Communication and Digital in East Flores Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province, has made it easier for residents to access telecommunications and internet services.
BAKTI has built six Base Transceiver Stations and provided 262 internet access facilities in government facilities, villages, schools, and health facilities in the East Flores region.
At the BAKTI Media Connect 2026 event , the Head of the East Flores Regency Communication and Informatics Office, Silvester Suban Toa Kabelen, said that residents and government officials had to travel long distances to get a signal before BAKTI built telecommunications infrastructure.
"Our community, friends at school, and even health facilities like community health centers and community health posts have to travel kilometers to get a signal so they can access information, submit reports, and convey data," he said.
