The Indonesian National Equestrian Sports Federation for Archery has partnered with the Hungarian Nemethy Horseback Archery Sport Association to strengthen the equestrian archery ecosystem.
This collaboration is also a strategic step to strengthen international cooperation in Indonesian archery equestrianism for the vision of improving achievements on the international stage.
"Equestrian archery is not just a sport, but also a living heritage that connects us to history, demands discipline, and builds a strong bond between humans and horses," said Triwatty Marciano, Chairperson of the FN.PBM Pusat.
"Through this collaboration, we aim to bridge the spirit and development of horse archery in Indonesia with internationally recognized experience and excellence," he added.
This collaboration will emphasize three main pillars, namely Knowledge Exchange, Athlete Development, and Cultural Synergy.
The three include the exchange of knowledge and training methodologies, increasing the capacity of athletes and coaches, and strengthening bilateral relations between Indonesia and Hungary, through Equestrian Archery as a sport and part of the cultural heritage of both countries.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Hungary, Her Excellency Penny Dewi Herasati, emphasized that the collaboration between FN PBM Pusat and Nemethy has a broader meaning than just developing sports achievements.
"Equestrian archery has strong historical and cultural roots in both Indonesia and Hungary. These similarities provide a platform for the sport to bring people from both countries together while preserving traditional heritage in a modern context," said Penny Dewi Herasati.
According to Penny, this collaboration can be part of sports diplomacy that strengthens relations between Indonesia and Hungary through the exchange of knowledge, experience, culture, and friendship between the two communities.
The Indonesian Embassy in Budapest also expressed its commitment to acting as a bridge in supporting various programs and exchanges that can strengthen relations between the two countries through sports.
