Honor has officially released the Robot Phone, whose main attraction is its flexible robotic gimbal camera.
According to the Honor Robot Phone is equipped with a complete camera system integrated into the body of the device.
Honor calls the phone's camera gimbal a titanium alloy gimbal, which it claims is made from aerospace-grade titanium.
The size of the camera's gimbal has been reduced by 65 percent from the gimbal on conventional cameras.
The camera motor on the Honor Robot Phone weighs just 2.6 grams, but is capable of rotating the camera at speeds of up to 360 degrees per second.
The system is designed so that the camera can follow fast-moving objects, including suddenly changing the camera direction.
Honor says the tiny camera's drive structure includes more than 100 precision components, goes through more than 60 production processes, and is supported by more than 100 patents developed by the company.
The Honor Robot Phone's camera consists of a 200-megapixel main camera mounted on a gimbal, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera with a 122-degree field of view, and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 2.7x optical zoom capability.
Honor built an image processing chip called the Driving Light H1 for the phone.
Honor also collaborated with professional camera company ARRI to bring professional-grade video features to the Robot Phone, which supports the ARRI LogC3 format as well as LUT color setting files.
Additionally, Honor introduced the ARRI Look feature that allows users to apply cinematic-style color effects with a single touch.
Meanwhile, the more advanced ARRI Cinema Mode includes capabilities such as false color monitoring , focus peaking , and cinematic frame rate selection.
