League operator PT Liga Utama Indonesia said the presence of visiting team supporters in the 2026/2027 Indonesian League 2 competition, or Championship, will depend on the readiness of the host club.
"So, for away supporters , there are certainly criteria that must be met. Primarily, for away supporters , it's the readiness of the LOC, the host. Are they ready?" said I.League General Manager Budiman Dalimunthe after the PT LUI General Meeting of Shareholders.
Budiman made the statement in response to a question regarding regulations regarding spectator attendance, particularly for visiting team supporters, at the 2026/2027 Championship matches, which will begin in September.
Budiman explained that the regulations regarding away supporters are still being finalized and awaiting approval. However, in principle, the presence of away supporters will not be automatically enforced at every match.
According to him, the decision will take into account the readiness of the match organizers, or Local Organizing Committee , of the host club. This readiness encompasses several important aspects, from stadium conditions and capacity, security arrangements, to permits from the police.
In addition, the rivalry factor between clubs will also be a consideration in determining the presence of visiting team supporters at the stadium.
