PT Liga Utama Indonesia stated that PSBS Biak could potentially start the 2026/2027 Championship competition with minus points if they cannot play at home.
"PSBS Biak was relegated from the Super League yesterday because they didn't play at their home ground. If a club can't provide a home ground, they will leave with minus one point," said I.League General Manager Budiman Dalimunthe at the PT Luwu UI General Meeting of Shareholders.
He conveyed this regarding the fate of clubs that cannot provide a stadium at their home ground, such as PSBS Biak, for the 2026/2027 Championship competition.
PSBS Biak is reportedly planning to use Gelora Joko Samudro Stadium in Gresik, East Java, as its home ground for the Championship competition, which begins on September 11.
Budiman explained that competition rules in both the Championship and Super League have been significantly tightened in accordance with Asian Football Association standards to ensure healthy and improving competition.
