The Garda Indonesia Online Motorcycle Taxi Drivers Association believes that drivers' net income should be the main indicator of the success of implementing profit-sharing regulations between online motorcycle taxi drivers and app companies.
The General Chairman of the Garda Indonesia Online Motorcycle Taxi Drivers Association, Raden Igun Wicaksono, said that the implementation of a maximum revenue sharing of 8 percent for applicators and a minimum of 92 percent for drivers as stipulated in Presidential Regulation Number 27 of 2026 concerning the Protection of Online Transportation Workers is not sufficient to only be seen from the percentage change.
"The true measure of success is how much net income drivers actually receive after accounting for operational costs, number of orders, trip fares, incentives, service fees, and various other economic mechanisms within the app's ecosystem,".
According to him, changing the portion from around 80 percent to at least 92 percent mathematically increases drivers' earnings per trip at the same rate. However, the income drivers receive is still influenced by various other factors.
