The Algerian national team advanced to the semi-finals after a strong and exciting quarter-final match, during which they managed to turn their deficit by one goal into a valuable 2-1 victory over their counterpart, the Ivory Coast national team.

This qualification is a historic milestone for women's football in Algeria, as it guarantees the national team its first-ever participation in the Women's World Cup finals, which will be hosted by Brazil from June 24 to July 25, 2027.
