7 signs that may reveal an account has been hacked
1- Changing your password without your knowledge
If a user discovers that their password no longer works, even though they are sure they entered it correctly, someone else may have changed it. This alone does not prove that the account has been hacked, as the problem could be due to forgetting the password or an error in entering it, but it does require checking the account.
2- Change your email address or phone number
An important sign is noticing a change in the contact information associated with the account without the user making this change. Access to the email or phone number associated with the account is important in regaining access to it, so any unknown change should be treated as a sign that requires review.
3- The appearance of posts that you did not publish
If posts, stories, or comments appear on the page that were not published by the account owner, someone else may have gained access to them. The same applies to any other activity that the user does not remember performing.
