"By relying on our high-speed computing network and artificial intelligence (AI) rendering technology, users can enjoy an immersive 3D viewing experience from home," said Wang Haimo, a project manager at China Mobile Liaoning, at the 2026 Global Industrial Internet Conference held in Shenyang, capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province.
With the theme of "intelligent transformation, digital upgrading, and AI-powered industries," the conference brought together exhibitors showcasing innovative achievements integrating the industrial internet with AI and presenting new scenarios for intelligent living.
New models, such as intelligent production, platform-based design and personalized customization, have been widely applied, providing strong momentum for the country's new industrialization process, said Xie Yuansheng, vice minister at China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, at the event.
At the exhibition, visitors tried on AI glasses that displayed Mandarin translations of English conversations on the lenses and translated foreign text with just a glance.
The glasses combine voice translation, visual translation and simultaneous interpretation in 122 languages, said Zhang Xinyan, demonstration manager at iFlytek, the company that developed them.

In addition to everyday use, these devices also have potential in industrial environments, such as in cross-border technical exchanges, equipment inspections, and supply chain coordination, reflecting the expansion of the industrial internet into wearable and human-centric devices.
Data from China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology shows that the scale of the country's industrial internet core industry will exceed with 26,000 industrial 5G private networks built by 2025.
In late June, eight government agencies, including MIIT, announced new guidelines setting targets for the industrial internet by 2030, including the construction of 50,000 private 5G networks for industry and achieving a value-added output of core industries exceeding 2.5 trillion yuan.
The industrial internet is also driving “flexible transformation” in the manufacturing sector, by shifting production patterns from a uniform mass model (one-size-fits-all) to personalized customization.
