A statement issued by the press service reads: "The 'High Precision Systems' company, part of the Russian state corporation 'Rostec', will present for the first time outside of Russia the 'Bison' (Wild Bull) aerial target engagement system. The system's debut will take place during the Egypt International Airshow 2026, scheduled for September 8-10."

The statement indicated that this development is designed to protect infrastructure from drones and will complement the overall multi-layered air defense architecture. The statement explained that the Bison system is designed to counter targets that are difficult for conventional air defense systems to engage, namely small, low-flying aerial targets. To engage these targets, the system uses 7.62mm PKT machine guns. The system automatically detects and tracks drones, transmits target designation data to the machine gun mounts, and the operator only needs to make the decision to destroy them.

The press service quoted Bekhan Azdoyev, the industrial director of the Rostec armaments complex, as saying: "It is extremely important that the development achieved by the High Precision Systems company is performing shifts and carrying out combat missions and succeeding in hitting real aerial targets, demonstrating a high speed in responding to aerial threats. In principle, 'Bison' constitutes the last line of defense that intervenes when time is measured in seconds."

Azdoev went on to say that the system can be used independently or as an element within a unified drone protection structure within the framework of building a multi-layered air defense system.

The development collaborates with aerial target detection methods not only by receiving data from them, but also by completing a general picture of weather conditions with its own data.

It is worth noting that the “Bison” system will be displayed within the unified Russian pavilion organized by the Russian arms export company “Rosoboronexport” at the El Alamein International Airshow 2026, which will be held at El Alamein Airport in Egypt from September 8 to 10.
