Four Palestinians killed, one of them the son of the Director General of the Ministry of Health in Gaza

Four Palestinians were killed and 17 others were injured in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip during the last 48 hours, according to the Ministry of Health in the Strip, while Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement in effect since October 10, 2015 continued on Saturday.

In the latest attack, Basir al-Barsh, the son of the Director General of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Munir al-Barsh, was killed in an Israeli bombing that targeted him in the al-Zahra neighborhood, west of the Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip, according to a medical source.

Earlier, a Palestinian was killed by an Israeli drone strike on the Shuja'iyya neighborhood east of Gaza City, while a girl died from wounds she sustained earlier from Israeli army fire north of the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
 that Israeli army vehicles fired intermittently east of the Jabalia camp, without any injuries, while Israeli forces opened fire in the Shakoush area southwest of Khan Younis city, coinciding with drones dropping bombs in the area.

Israeli helicopters also fired heavily south of the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Yunis, and in areas adjacent to Rafah, according to eyewitnesses.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza said in a statistical statement on Saturday that the sector’s hospitals received “4 martyrs and 17 wounded” during the past 48 hours, bringing the total number of victims of the Israeli war on the sector since October 7, 2023 to 73,910 martyrs and 174,914 wounded.

The ministry added that Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement have resulted, since its implementation, in the martyrdom of 1,390 Palestinians and the injury of 4,801 others.

The Israeli war on the Gaza Strip began on October 7, 2023, and, in addition to human losses, left widespread destruction of infrastructure and buildings, while UN estimates say that the majority of the Strip’s population lives in harsh humanitarian conditions.
