When met at the parliamentary complex in Jakarta on Thursday, he emphasized that the allegations were only preliminary information. Therefore, his party respects and awaits developments in the ongoing legal process at the Corruption Eradication Commission.
"Once again, I say we fully entrust this process to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). We believe the KPK is an independent and credible institution capable of resolving this," said Ahmad Doli.
He said that Indonesia is a country of law, so all allegations of violations of the law must be proven based on applicable laws and regulations.
"We'll just have to wait and see what happens next. It was mentioned that there were four people, called 'trusted persons,' but sometimes, those trusted persons aren't necessarily acting on behalf of the person who entrusted them," he said.
Doli admitted he had not yet communicated directly with the Golkar Party's religious and spiritual affairs chairman. He also stated that the party had not yet coordinated with Nusron.
