Lebanon is preparing to host the World Calisthanics Championship on September 27, with the participation of players from more than 30 countries, at the Nihad Nawfal Sports and Theater Complex in Zouk Mikael.
Calisthanex is a sport that relies on using body weight as resistance to build muscle, increase strength, and improve physical fitness without the need for heavy weights.
The tournament is being held in cooperation between the Land of Creators Association and Caritas Association, in a move aimed at promoting the presence of calisthenics in Lebanon, and turning the event into a platform that brings together athletes from all over the world on Lebanese soil.
The tournament organizers emphasized that hosting this international event, despite the circumstances and challenges facing Lebanon, carries a message that transcends the boundaries of sports competition and highlights the country's ability to host international sporting events.
The tournament's activities are not limited to sports competitions, as the organizers have prepared a special tourist program for the participants, with the aim of introducing them to the archaeological, tourist and cultural landmarks in Lebanon.
