The Russian Defense Ministry said on Saturday that its forces attacked an electric furnace-based steel-smelting complex belonging to the Interpipe Steel metallurgical plant in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine's largest producer and supplier of rolled metal for military products.

In the overnight attack, Russian armed forces launched a large-scale attack on Ukrainian metallurgical industrial facilities producing products for military needs in the cities of Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kryvyi Rih, as well as on port infrastructure in the Odesa region used to ship cargo for the Ukrainian military and service ships operating on its behalf.
“As a result of the use of precision weapons launched from the air, land and sea as well as attack drones, the advanced electric smelting complex of the Interpipe Steel metallurgical plant in the city of Dnipropetrovsk... in the Dnipropetrovsk region... was hit,” the ministry said.
The Russian Defense Ministry said the facility is Ukraine's largest producer and supplier of rolled metal used in the manufacture of military products.
