Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP rider Senna Agius secured pole position for the 2026 San Marino Moto2 GP, after finishing fastest in Qualifying 2 (Q2) at the Misano Circuit.

The MotoGP page stated that this result made Agius the leading rider in the main race after recording a time of 1 minute 33.718 seconds.
According to statistics, the Australian rider was previously fastest in the free practice session breaking the intermediate class lap record at Misano with a time of 1 minute 34.142 seconds. His Q2 result again broke his own record, further emphasizing his strong performance from the first day, which saw him compete in qualifying.
CFMoto Aspar European Privilege Team rider Daniel Holgado finished second, clocking a time of 1 minute 33.911 seconds. Angel Piqueras, riding QJMotor-Green Power-MSI, finished third with a time of 1 minute 33.982 seconds.
Then, for the fourth and fifth positions, Daniel Munoz and Manuel Gonzalez respectively took the fourth and fifth positions with times of 1 minute 34.016 seconds and 1 minute 34.084 seconds.
Meanwhile, organizers described Senna Agius as the rider who made a strong start to the weekend after setting a new lap record at Misano. This performance will be crucial for the 21-year-old rider heading into the 14th race of the Moto2 calendar.
With these qualifying results, Agius will lead the front row when the Moto2 riders return to the track for the 2026 San Marino GP, which will be held at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.
