"Every suggestion and complaint from the public needs to be followed up quickly and appropriately. This is not only to resolve the issues that arise, but also to analyze them as an early warning system ," he said at the 2026 National Police Commission Award ceremony.
The National Police Chief stated that the development of social media and the era of citizen journalism has enabled information and public aspirations to spread more rapidly. At the same time, public expectations for the responsive, transparent, and accountable implementation of the police's duties have also continued to rise.
According to him, this situation must be addressed by increasing professionalism, strengthening integrity, and improving the quality of public services. Therefore, he requested that public complaints and suggestions be analyzed.
By analyzing complaints, patterns and potential recurring issues can be identified. The results of this analysis can be used for evaluation and improvement of the National Police organization as a whole.
In this context, according to the Chief of Police, Kompolnas has a strategic position as a bridge between the Police and the community.
"Kompolnas is tasked with monitoring, providing strategic input and suggestions, and receiving complaints from the public to be forwarded to the National Police for improvement," he said.
