National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo hopes that the winners of the 2026 National Police Commission Awards can become role models for all police personnel and work units.
"We hope those who receive awards from the National Police Commission can become role models for other work units to emulate," said the National Police Chief at the 2026 Kompolnas Awards.
He also hopes that the winners can motivate all personnel to work better, provide better services to the community, and realize a National Police that is close to and loved by the community.
The National Police Chief also expressed his appreciation to the National Police Commission for consistently holding the Kompolnas Awards for five consecutive years.
According to him, the award ceremony will motivate all police personnel to work better and make improvements based on the recommendations given.
"This is part of Kompolnas's consistency as an organization or institution that is officially a partner of the Indonesian National Police, tasked with monitoring, providing strategic input and suggestions, and also receiving complaints from the public to be forwarded to the Indonesian National Police for improvement," he said.
On the same occasion, the Chairman of the National Police Commission and Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs, Djamari Chaniago, said that in this year's National Police Awards, his party not only included categories for work units, but also for individuals.
"There's a slight difference compared to before. The difference lies in the issue of giving awards to police officers who serve in the field, those in remote areas, and even those who carry out duties abroad as peacekeepers ," he said.
He said that through the awards ceremony, Kompolnas is trying to create a competitive atmosphere within the police force so that personnel can develop and become better.
