Mohamed El Shazly, spokesman for the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports, confirmed that Sports Minister Gawhar Nabil is working to resolve the crises related to the Egyptian national team.

The past few days have witnessed crises within the national team camp, starting with Hossam Hassan's criticism of goalkeeper Mohamed El Shenawy, and ending with Mohamed Salah leaving the camp.

Al-Shazly said in televised remarks that the Minister of Youth and Sports intervened to resolve the crisis in the Egyptian national team, and contacted Hani Abu Rida, the head of the Football Association, and the national team's technical staff, and asked everyone to remain calm and focus on the South Sudan match.

He added that the minister will meet with all parties involved in the crisis within the Egyptian national team after the Sudan match, in order to restore calm once again, stressing that he will contact Mohamed Salah to resolve his crisis with the coaching staff.

The Egyptian Football Association announced last Saturday that Mohamed Salah would not travel with the team to South Sudan for the second round match in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers because it would be held on an artificial turf pitch.

Egypt drew 0-0 with Angola at Cairo International Stadium in the opening match of the qualifiers, placing them second in Group B behind Malawi, who defeated South Sudan.

Salah started in the Angola match, but he did not complete the game after coach Hossam Hassan decided to substitute him midway through the second half.

The Egyptian national team is aiming for victory against South Sudan in the match that will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, in the second round of qualifiers.

Egypt is in Group B of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, alongside South Sudan, Angola and Malawi.
