The smart device market in Indonesia shows some of the most promising growth potential in Southeast Asia. This trend is one of the factors we consider when identifying markets where this type of technology could become increasingly relevant in the future.

At the exhibition, Agora Inc. presented three new capabilities on its conversational AI platform, namely Voiceprint, Voice Cloning, and Model Context Protocol  support.

These three technologies enable smart devices to recognize users based on their voice, deliver more personalized voice characteristics, and connect with other devices, services, and data sources to execute commands through natural conversation.

According to Lawrence Wu, the launch is also relevant for Indonesia, which is one of the fastest-growing markets for similar technologies.

Southeast Asia, including Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines, is seeing double-digit growth in the adoption of increasingly affordable Android-based voice assistants.
