Khaled El-Darandaly, Vice President of the Egyptian Football Association, responded to the news circulating about the dismissal of the Egyptian national team's coaching staff, led by Hossam Hassan, if he submits an official report about what happened during the trip to South Sudan.

Al-Darandali explained that the board of directors of the Football Association stands fully behind the technical staff and strongly supports them in their current mission.

Al-Darandali told ON Sport that Ibrahim Hassan ignored shaking his hand and dealing with him when he was the head of the national team's delegation on the trip to South Sudan.

He added: "We did not fall short in supporting the national team and we attended all the training sessions and there was no direct dispute between the Egyptian Football Association administration and the technical staff."

Regarding the possibility of dismissing the coaching staff led by Hossam Hassan if he submits an official report, Al-Darandali said that the coaching staff will not leave the Pharaohs if he submits his report.

He added: "The issue is not whether the technical staff continues or not. It is normal for the head of the delegation to write his report, and the decision rests with the board of directors headed by Hani Abu Rida."

He pointed out that the Egyptian Federation does not make hasty decisions and considers the stability of the national team, and that it does not settle scores.

Egypt had defeated their hosts South Sudan 5-0 in the second round of qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations finals.
