Bappenas emphasizes that the Civil Registration Bill is key to accurate development data

Deputy Minister of National Development Planning Bappenas Febrian Alphariyanto Ruddyard emphasized that the Draft Law on State Administration  plays a crucial role because the quality of national development is highly dependent on the accuracy and up-to-dateness of population data.

"The quality of this development will depend heavily on the quality of the data used as the basis for decision-making," Febrian said at the Coordination Meeting for the Issue Inventory List (DIM) for the Population Administration Bill at the Ministry of Home Affairs Office.

He said that quality population data will determine the accuracy of policies, budget effectiveness, and equitable distribution of development benefits.

In this regard, Febrian expressed his appreciation to the Ministry of Home Affairs and all ministries and institutions that have collaborated in drafting the DIM for the Civil Registration Bill.

According to him, population administration is more than just recording birth, death, or migration documents. More than that, it's the state's way of getting to know its citizens and ensuring the fulfillment of their basic rights.
