Dudung emphasized that development in Papua is comprehensive right down to the grassroots level

Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Dudung Abdurachman emphasized that development in the Papua region must be carried out comprehensively and touch the people at the grassroots level.

During a working visit to Timika, Mimika Regency, Central Papua, on Tuesday, Dudung said the visit was intended to revitalize coordination and collaboration between the regional government, the Indonesian National Armed Forces , the Indonesian National Police , and all stakeholders in order to improve development in the Papua region.

"The President of the Republic of Indonesia's mandate is that development, especially in the Papua region, must be comprehensive, down to the grassroots level. I guarantee this. I'm tasked with coordinating all relevant institutions to monitor the progress of the situation in the region," he said.

Meanwhile, security is one of the main factors in supporting and ensuring that all development processes in the Papua region can run smoothly.

He also emphasized to all task forces  and TNI-Polri soldiers currently serving in Papua that in carrying out their duties and responsibilities, they must always prioritize public interests over personal or group interests.

"That's the message from the President that I need to convey. I hope that in the future, regional governments, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (Polri), and all related elements will work together and agree on a Red and White for the nation and state," he said.

During his visit to Mimika, Dudung also held a coordination meeting with the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum, the governor, the regents and the ranks of the TNI-Polri.
