"KSPSI respects the rights of every citizen, including students, to express their opinions in public in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations," said KSPSI Chairman Jumhur Hidayat.
However, he said, KSPSI reminded that the action must be carried out responsibly, not be provoked, not commit anarchic acts, and not damage public facilities and wider interests.
According to him, the current government is very accommodating and open to public input.
KSPSI believes that the government's openness to public input is a positive space that needs to be jointly maintained.
"Therefore, the expression of aspirations should continue to prioritize peaceful means, deliberation, and dialogue, rather than provocation or violence," said Jumhur.
KSPSI also invites all parties, including security forces, to prioritize a persuasive and humanist approach in maintaining order.
In addition, KSPSI also asked the public not to spread hoaxes or information that could worsen the situation.
Therefore, the public is expected not to hesitate to express their aspirations, but to prioritize constructive methods and not be easily provoked by unverified information.
It is known that the Student Executive Board of the University of Indonesia (UI) and various elements of society will hold a demonstration.
